The Mission of the Waunakee Area Soccer Club Youth Soccer Academy is to provide a fun and challenging soccer environment that will allow players of all abilities to grow as people and develop to the best of their soccer abilities.  Our focus will be on the development of each player in a fun and safe environment.

The Waunakee Area Soccer Club (WASC) will once again present a soccer enrichment experience for all children ages 4-9. The Youth Development Academy is designed to provide the skills and experiences necessary to help transform your child into a skilled and confident soccer player.

The only prerequisite for participation is the child's interest and ability to make the time commitment necessary. The Youth Development Academy is a supplement to the regular team format and does not require your child to leave his or her current team.

The Academy experience will provide additional opportunities for those children seeking more from their soccer experience. The goal of the program is to develop a deep-rooted love for the game of soccer as well as teaching the fundamentals of dribbling, juggling, trapping, passing and shooting. Emphasis is placed on participation and learning in a fun and safe environment.

All academy sessions will be under the supervision of WASC Coaching Director, Jesus Torres and WASC club coach Mark Anderson, both USSF licensed coaches. The coaches will bring a variety of coaching experiences and insights for your child. The ratio of players to coaches will not exceed 12:1.  Additional coaches may be brought in depending on enrollment and topics.

The Fall 2010 Youth Developmental Academy is scheduled to begin in September 2010. Paper registration forms will be posted on www.waunakeesoccer.org under the Academy tab and online registration is available by going to www.waunakeesoccer and clicking the online registration GO link in the upper right hand corner.  If you have previously registered a child for a program, enter your email address and password and click the register button next to your child's name. Find the academy in the program listing and register and pay online.
