The Junior & Developing Players Camp will focus on proper technique and fun Players will receive instruction on the techniques of dribbling, passing, trapping, shooting and general ball control. Players will learn and practice the techniques through fun, exciting and challenging games with the key ingredients being Fun and Sportsmanship. The session will end each day with small-sided sessions leading up to a game experience. The Team Camp will focus on developing the “Complete Player” Our experienced and licensed coaches will focus on the development of the complete player by combining a strong emphasis on individual skills with appropriate team tactics. Each session will begin with technical skills instruction and practice which will lead to the tactical, decision-making part of the game. Players will learn the when, where and why of the game and will be challenged to make the right decisions under pressure in small-sided games and activities. The tactical development will culminate each day in an 8v8 or 11v11 game. Goalkeeping – A key position At the WASC camp, the goalkeeper is not the forgotten player. Our experienced goalkeeping staff will teach the key technical, tactical, psychological, and physical aspects of this crucial position. Individualized training and match-related activities will provide the goalkeeper an opportunity to blend technical fundamentals with the tactical, decision-making aspects of the game.
