Erik has been actively involved in the beautiful game for over 30 years as a player, referee, coach, and soccer dad. Erik grew up in the Madison area and started out playing on a neighborhood soccer team, eventually playing with various competitive clubs in the Madison area including MAYSA's Olympic Development Team. Erik was a four year letter winner at Verona Area High School and was one of two freshman to start all regular season varsity games. Erik served as the co-captain his senior year. Erik's coaching career began as an assistant coach with the Verona Area Soccer Club. He has coached U14-U18 boys and girls teams with the Norski Soccer Club for 4 years and served as the Freshman Girls' coach for DeForest High School. Erik has been coaching in the Waunakee Area Soccer Club since 2005 as a youth recreation coach and for the club's various competitive teams. Erik enjoys sharing his love for the game with his players and watching the players grow and mature into great soccer players and teammates.
